Effect of soil-moisture regime, kaolin spray and phosphorus fertilizer on nodulation, P uptake and water use of lentil (Lens culinaris)

Effect of soil-moisture regime, kaolin spray and phosphorus fertilizer on nodulation, P uptake and water use of lentil (Lens culinaris)

Indian Journal of Agronomy 39(2): 241-245

In a field trial on sandy loam soil at New Delhi in the 1987-89 winter seasons, lentils Pusa 4 were not irrigated or irrigated at 45 and/or 80 d after sowing, or given different combinations of 6% kaolin spray and irrigations, and given 0, 40 or 80 kg P2O5/ha. Nodulation was increased by applied P but not significantly different between P rates.
