Effect of some agrotechnical factors on germination of spring vetch (Vicia sativa L.)

In field trials at Gorzyn in 1983-87, V. sativa was grown with or without sprinkler irrigation to maintain soil moisture at 70% of field capacity. Other factors tested were plant densities of 50-300 plants/msuperscript 2, sowing alone or with oats, harvesting seed in several stages without desiccation or in one stage after application of Reglone and use of herbicides (Afalon Aretit and Fusilade. Seed germination was tested after 6 months storage.
