Effect of some chemicals and micro-climatic factors on germination of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) seed

Effect of some chemicals and micro-climatic factors on germination of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) seed

Horticultural Journal 6(2): 115-120

The effects of germination temperature and of soaking in plant growth regulator solutions (12-h soak before sowing) or water on germination of N. sativa seeds was studied. The best germination percentage was achieved by soaking in GA3 at 100 or 200 p.p.m. and germinating in darkness (84.00-87.66%).
