Effect of source and level of phosphorus with and without lime in toria (Brassica rapa var napus)-greengram (Phaseolus radiatus) sequence

An experiment was conducted during the winter season of 1988-89 in India to study the effects of single superphosphate and diammonium phosphate, with and without liming, at rates of 0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P/ha on toria (Brassica campestris var. toria) and the succeeding green gram (Vigna radiata) crop. Phosphorus significantly increased plant growth, seed production and stover yield of B. campestris, whilst lime sigificantly increased plant growth and stover yield.
