In on-farm field experiments at 2 sites in the Gurgaon district of Haryana, potatoes Kufri Chandramukhi were given 80 or 120 kg K2O/ha as KCl or KNO3, applied basally or in 3 splits (half at planting and a quarter each at 1st and 2nd earthing up). The highest tuber yield was obtained with 120 kg K2O from KNO3 as basal application.
