Effect of sowing time on expression of Karnal bunt in wheat cultivars

Thirty-one diverse genotypes/varieties planted on two different dates i.e. Nov. 15 and Dec. 15 for three cropping seasons and were tested against Karnal bunt under natural and artificial epiphytotic conditions. It was observed that incidence of the disease was low in late sown as compared to normal sown crop.
