Effect of spacing on yield of two pigeonpea cultivars in Uganda



Improvement of pigeonpea in eastern and southern Africa: Annual Research Planning Meeting 1994, Nairobi, Kenya, 21-23 Sep 1994: 84-86



In a field experiment in 1993 at Serere, Uganda, pigeonpeas ICPL 87091 and Kat 60/8 were sown at spacings of 60, 50, 40, 30 or 20 x 30 or 10 cm. ICPL 87091 and Kat 60/8 seed yields were highest at spacings of 20 x 10 cm (1.82 t/ha) and 30 x 10 cm (1.63 t), respectively.
