Effect of spatial distribution (rectangularity) on the productivity of experimental garlic (Allium sativum L.) clones

In trials with 4 clones of white garlic (No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 283, selections made at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and INTA), the cloves were planted at 5, 8 and 16/m of row giving a density of 100 000, 160 000 and 320 000 plants/ha, respectively. The rows were 0.5 m apart and the index of rectangularity was 1:2.5, 1:4 and 1:8 for cloves spaced at 5, 8 and 16/m, respectively.
