Effect of spraying diazinon to control the external parasites on the productive performance of dairy animals. 3. Minerals contents of blood serum and milks

Effect of spraying diazinon to control the external parasites on the productive performance of dairy animals. 3. Minerals contents of blood serum and milks

Egyptian Journal of Dairy Science 22(2): 287-296

10 each of mid-lactation buffaloes and Friesian cows were sprayed with 600 p.p.m. diazinon at 2 litres/animal after a.m. milking, and blood samples were taken as described previously (see preceding article). Serum Na increased and Mg decreased after diazinon spraying, the maximum effect being noted after 1 day, but Mg levels were still significantly lower after 30 days. Effects of spraying upon serum levels of inorganic P, Ca, K, Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Cd and Cr were not significant.
