The effect of ammonium polyphosphate, applied as a starter fertilizer, on root growth of cotton Deltapine 50 grown under conventional tillage and no-tillage was investigated in field trials at Winnsboro, Louisiana, on a Gigger silt loam (fine-silty, mixed, thermic, Typic Fragiudalf) in 1991-92.
