In field trials at Winnsboro, Louisiana, on a Gigger silt loam (fine-silty, mixed, thermic, Typic Fragiudalf) in 1993, cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) Deltapine 50 was given ammonium polyphosphate (APP), applied as starter fertilizer, under both conventional tillage and no-tillage systems.
