Effect of stocking density and feed on the growth and survival of seabass fry Lates calcarifer (Bloch)

Sea bass fry, 30 days old, were stocked at 5 or 7/msuperscript 2 and fed entirely on trash fish (TF) or a feed mixture (MF) containing 25% TF and 75% commercial pelleted feed. Rearing was for 45 days during which time growth, apparent feed conversion ratio (FCR) and survival were estimated. Stocking at 5/msuperscript 2 increased, and the mixed diet decreased, percentage survival, specific growth rate (SGR) and FCR. There was no significant effect of treatment on survival.
