Effect of storage and scarification time on seed germination of centro (Centrosema pubescens)

Effect of storage and scarification time on seed germination of centro (Centrosema pubescens)

Seed Research 21(1): 21-25

C. pubescens seeds stored for 4, 18, 41, 65 and 76 months were treated in boiling water for 0-10 min. Percentage of hard seeds decreased with duration of scarification and was highest in seeds stored for 4 months. Seed germination was highest in seeds treated in boiling water for 2 or 4 min and it was decreased by storage for 65 or 76 months.
