Effect of subatmospheric pressure milling on controlling the rise of flour temperature



Journal of the Japanese Society of Agricultural Machinery 57(4): 53-57



Wheat was milled at 4 sub-atmospheric pressure levels and one control (102.5 kPa), and at different initial moisture contents to prevent quality reduction by heating and oxidation. Power consumption was measured as a factor of the milling machine, and the moisture content of flour after milling was measured for different feed rates to determine the capacity of the milling machine at the different moisture contents.
