Effect of sublethal concentration pesticides on the reproduction and settlement of Amblyseius pseudolongispinosus (Acarina: Phytoseiidae)

Fourteen pesticides at different concentrations were sprayed on bean leaves infested with spider mites in laboratory to determine the effect of sublethal concn on the mortality of the phytoseiid Amblyseius pseudolongispinosus and on its reproduction and settlement. The results showed that cypermethrin, triadimefon, propargite and dicofol had adverse effects on fecundity and settlement on plants, omethoate had serious adverse effects on reproduction, but not on settlement.
