Field trials were conducted at Nagpur in kharif 1993 to assess the effects of weeding 30 days after planting (DAP) + hoeing 20 and 45 DAP, and pre-em. pendimethalin as 3.5 litres/ha Stomp +or- 1 weeding and 1-2 hoeings or 1-2 kg post-em. (42 DAP) 2,4-D +or- 1 hoeing on weed control and crop yields of groundnut JL24 growing on a silty clay.
