In the Lagadas area of northern Greece, supplies of natural water used for drinking and irrigation contain high concentrations of fluoride. Fluoride content of vegetables which were irrigated in the field with water containing F- at up to 10 mg/litre was determined by ion selective electrode. Additional experiments were performed with parsley grown in the greenhouse and irrigated with water containing F- at 0.13, 10.0 or 15.0 mg/litre.
