Genetic analysis of qualitative-quantitative traits. III. Endosperm characters under triploid genetic control

A method for genetic analysis of qualitative-quantitative traits in diploids is extended to the analysis of endosperm traits under a triploid genetic model, with rice taken as an example. The components of means and genetic variances in different endosperm generations from a cross between 2 inbred lines are presented. An example on gelatinization temperature, represented by alkali spreading value (ASV), demonstrates the analysis procedure.
