Imazalil for postharvest control of anthracnose on mango fruits

Imazalil in combination with water at 53 degrees C was effective for postharvest control of anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides on mangoes but did not significantly reduce the amount of stem end rot, caused by Diplodia natalensis (Botryodiplodia theobromae), on the fruits. The experiments were carried out in 1990 and 1991 using mangoes picked in Dade County, Florida, USA.
