Impedimetric method for selective enumeration of specific yoghurt bacteria with milk-based culture media

The suitability of an impedimetric method for selective enumeration of specific microorganisms, particularly the yoghurt starter culture bacteria Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus delbrueckii var. bulgaricus, was investigated in comparison with the conventional plate count technique.
