Infection of the terrestrial isopod Porcellio scaber Latr. and millipede Blaniulus guttulatus Bosc. with entomopathogenic nematodes (Nematoda: Rhabditida) in laboratory conditions

The pathogenicity of the entomophilic nematodes Steinernema carpocapsae and S. feltiae to the terrestrial isopod Porcellio scaber and the millipede Blaniulus guttulatus was investigated in the laboratory. Nematodes were applied at doses of 1000 and 3000 infective juveniles to soil in Petri dishes each containing 10 adults of one of the arthropod species. Three days after treatment, the mortality of each arthropod species had reached 100% at both of the doses tested.
