Inhibitor activity in potato tubers during storage



Ziemniak ( 1989/91): 15-26



Endogenous growth inhibitor activity was determined in cortical and inner parts of potato Ronda tubers and in tissues surrounding sprouting and non-sprouting buds between harvest and late spring in 3 storage seasons. Inhibitor activity was determined using the wheat coleoptile straight growth test. There were marked fluctuations in inhibitor activity during the storage season.
