In a field trial during the rainy season of 1992 at Jhargram, West Bengal with 9 V. mungo cultivars, Pavit U-19 gave the highest yield per plant (2.22 g) followed by T-9 (2.21 g), B-76 (1.76 g) and PDM 87-14 (1.66 g).
