Plantation of certain fastgrowing tree species under short-rotation agro-forestry system for production of biomass for paper pulp

Plantation of certain fastgrowing tree species under short-rotation agro-forestry system for production of biomass for paper pulp

Advances in Forestry Research in India 9: 19-34

Data on growth and biomass production, yield of pulpable biomass (the main stem and branches) and the pulp and papermaking characteristics, and nitrogen fertilizer requirements for trial short-rotation plantations of 4 multipurpose trees (Acacia auriculiformis, Gmelina arborea, Leucaena leucocephala, Populus deltoides) intercropped with aromatic plants (Java citronella lemon grass palmarosa and basil at the Experimental Farm of the Regional Research Laboratory at Jorhat, Assam, in 1987-92.
