Porrocaecum vittatii sp. nov. is described from the stomach of Mystus vittatus sampled from a market in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. Males measured between 18.1 and 22.0 mm long and from 0.252 to 0.288 mm at their widest point. They are characterized by 8 pairs of sessile and precloacal caudal papillae, 1 pair of pedunculate and postcloacal papillae, one spicule measuring between 0.576 and 0.612 mm in length, and a curved pointed tail.
