Pre- and post-flowering photoperiod responses in early soybean varieties

With a view to studying the effects of pre- and post-flowering photoperiods on the whole growth period of early soyabeans, and comparing the photoperiod sensitivity before and after flowering, 5 early varieties were grown at Harbin under natural or short daylength conditions both before and after flowering. The results obtained indicated that flowering of early soyabean varieties was insensitive to photoperiod.
