Abstract
In a field experiment in 1989-92 at Durgapura, Rajasthan, 3 M. sativa cultivars were sown at rates of 20, 25 or 30 kg seed/ha with or without 2 kg seed/ha of B. chinensis. Green forage yield was highest (79.0 t/ha) at the 30 kg/ha sowing rate. Addition of B. chinensis in the seed mixture increased forage yield in 1989/90 only. Cv. T 9, Anand 2 and SS 627 gave forage yields of 73.3, 78.1 and 77.4 t, respectively.
