Response of soybean (Glycine max) to nitrogen and phosphorus

Indian Journal of Agronomy 40(2): 305-306

In a field experiment on a loam soil (Oxisol) during the rainy season of 1991 at Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, soyabeans BR 2 given 0, 40 or 80 kg N/ha as urea gave seed yields of 0.61, 0.88 and 0.92 t/ha, respectively. Application of 0, 40 or 80 kg P2O5/ha as single superphosphate gave seed yields of 0.62, 0.88 and 0.90 t, respectively.
