SWACROP: A water management and crop production simulation model

The soil-water-balance model SWATRE and the crop-production model CROPR have been synthesized into a new version called SWACROP. This model considers soil water movement in response to soil water pressure head gradients in accordance to the Darcy and continuity equations. It enables water extraction by roots to be accounted for by a sink term.
