Screening of rice cultures against blast, brown spot and leaf scald diseases

Among twenty two rice cultures screened against three foliar diseases, RP 1057-393-1 was highly resistant RP 1579-1863-75-32-53 was resistant to blast and MTU-7633 was moderately to brown spot while all the cultures were susceptible to leaf scald disease in kharif 1989. Whereas thirty genotypes have shown resistant reactions to brown spot and only two genotypes viz., IET-11459 and IET-12181 were resistant reaction to leaf scald and IET-11459 was resistant to both the diseases in kharif 1988.
