Seed-production potential of oat (Avena sativa) as influenced by cutting management and nitrogen

Seed-production potential of oat (Avena sativa) as influenced by cutting management and nitrogen

Indian Journal of Agronomy 38(3): 389-391

ISSN/ISBN: 0537-197X

In a field experiment during the winter seasons of 1988-90 at Rahuri, Maharashtra, forage oat Kent produced seed yields of 2.39 and 2.87 t/ha in the respective seasons, whereas cutting the crop after 50 or 70 d growth for forage gave yields of 1.98 and 2.23 t, and 0.87 and 0.97 t, respectively.
