In a field experiment at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, maize was grown on the same plots after finger millet given 30, 60 or 90 kg P2O5/ha as single superphosphate (SSP), rock phosphate (RP) with or without soil inoculation with Bacillus megaterium, 2/3 RP + 1/3 SSP or diammonium phosphate (DAP), or on different plots. The same treatments were applied to maize or not applied to maize grown after finger millet.
