In studies on Cheju Island, Korea Republic, the level of Theileria sergenti parasitaemia in immunized Korean Native cattle (T. sergenti blood vaccine) was less than that in non-immunized cattle. Immunization prevented reductions in PCV and RBC and increased daily weight gain (0.25 kg compared with 0.20 kg). Mortality was also reduced in immunized cattle.
