Salt-tolerant wheat lines were obtained by anther culture with different concentrations of NaCl (0.1, 0.3 and 0.5%) in the culture media. Anthers from 9 F1 combinations were cultured on media with constant NaCl concentrations and gradually increasing concentrations. Gradually increasing the salt concentration produced more salt-tolerant variants. The most suitable salt concentrations were 0.3 and 0.5%.
