The UK ski market: determinants of destination choice and skilled consumption
This articles analyses the concept of skilled consumption as it relates to skiers in the UK, and identifies the key determinants of destination choice in relation to skill level and previous ski experiences. An extensive questionnaire and interview survey, in which the concept of skill levels was operationalized through the use of the standard beginner, intermediate and advanced categories, was conducted in the summer of 1993.
