The effect of incorporating photo-assimilates into individual berries and of gibberellin on the set and growth of grape berries

In a trial on the grape cultivars Delaware and Campbell Early, seeded, seedless fleshy, seedless small and dropped berries were formed regardless of pre-bloom GA3 (100 p.p.m.) application, but the treatment increased fruit set and seedlessness. In GA3-treated clusters, frequency distributions of DW and 14C-assimilates incorporated into individual fruits showed one peak before full bloom and 2 peaks after full bloom.
