The impact of the Single European Market on export and distribution of NZ food products

The EU is New Zealand's second largest market for agricultural products, although there has been little growth in total exports in recent years. Despite the need for continued negotiated access for sheepmeat and butter to the EU, Europe is a substantial food importer, and a crucial market for New Zealand lamb, butter, cheese, apples and kiwifruit, venison, and wine.
