In a field experiment during the rainy seasons of 1987-88 at Hazaribagh, Bihar, pigeonpeas were intercropped with rice Sattari, Eleusine coracana A 404, black gram T 9, green gram TAP 7, groundnuts K 3 or soyabeans Punjab 1.
