In a field experiment in 1987-89 at Ludhiana, Indian Punjab, rice PR-106 was transplanted on 16 or 30 June and flooded for 6-22 d after transplanting. Grain yield was higher from transplanting on 16 than 30 June, and was not affected by flooding duration.
