A standard weaning diet for sea bass was prepared by extrusion/coating or extrusion alone to study the effects on the stability of the coated lipid fraction and on growth and fatty acid uptake. For each type of experimental diet, 1 and 2.5% (n-3) highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) were evaluated in European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax), maintained in a recirculation system for 23 days, and compared with a commercial weaning diet.
