Batch anaerobic digestion of glucose and its mathematical modeling. 2. Description, verification and application of model
A mathematical model is presented for batch anaerobic digestion of glucose, including 5 bacterial steps (acidogenesis, ethanol-degrading acetogenesis, butyrate-degrading acetogenesis, acetoclastic methanogenesis and hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis), bacterial decay, description of the reactor pH, and various inhibitions of the bacterial steps. Numerical values were found for the parameters of the model so that it satisfactorily fitted experimental data.
