Bee diversity and seed set in fragmented habitats

Acta Horticulturae ( 437): 231-234
Bee diversity and seed set in fragmented habitats
Effects of habitat fragmentation on plant-pollinator interactions were studied by analysing abundance and diversity of bees as well as seed set of 2 self-incompatible plants on a landscape scale. Forty small patches of Sinapis arvensis and radishes were experimentally established at increasing distances from 8 species-rich chalk grasslands in Germany.
