Bees and wasps in trap nests on sown crop fields and self-sown fallow fields (Hymenoptera Aculeata)

, : Bees and wasps in trap nests on sown crop fields and self-sown fallow fields (Hymenoptera Aculeata). Verhandlungen Gesellschaft fur Okologie 22: 53-56

Artificial nest sites were provided on 40 fields, and the distributions of bees and wasps were determined on the fields ((A) crops: peas, barley, rye, clover-grass mixtures, Phacelia tanacetifolia; (B) fallow, 1 or 2 years old, cut or uncut, and old-established meadows). Twice as many wild bee species were recorded on B, compared with A, and the number was highest on the old meadows (12-14 species). No bees were present on P. tanacetifolia. Wasp species were fairly evenly distributed.
