Beet cleaner-loaders: effect of harvesting and storage conditions on the earth removal

, : Beet cleaner-loaders: effect of harvesting and storage conditions on the earth removal. Landtechnik 51(6): 324-325

Experiments were made with a conventional cleaner-loader to determine the effect of harvesting conditions (2 different harvesting times in each of 2 different years) and storage conditions on soil removal from sugarbeet. The storage conditions were: duration 0, 1, 7 and 14 days, in clamps with or without a plastic covering. The results, shown in graphs, indicate that the harvesting and storage conditions have a great influence on earth removal in cleaner-loaders.
