Behaviour of lambs grazing mixed clover-grass pasture sward

Behaviour of lambs grazing mixed clover-grass pasture sward
The effect of the size of Trifolium repens patches in a mixture with Lolium perenne and the distance between them on the grazing behaviour of 5-month-old Suffolk x Greyface lambs was studied in Scotland in 1992. The percentage of T. repens in the sward ranged from 1 to 25% and that in the diet from 25.3 to 42.0%. The regression coefficient between these percentages fell from 0.97 on the 6th day of the experiment to 0.50 on the 15th.
