From 5 days old, broiler chickens in 5 groups were fed on a basal diet (BD) plus 5% feed yeasts; BD plus 5% Belotin (microbial protein made from wastes from the flour milling industry); BD plus 7% Belotin instead of sunflower oilmeal; BD plus 9% Belotin instead of yeasts and sunflower oilmeal; or BD plus 10% Belotin instead of yeasts and sunflower oilmeal. Liveweight at 7 weeks old was 1533 to 1715 g for groups 2 and 3 given Belotin at 5 and 7%.
