Characterization and identification of some ectomycorrhizae on oak (Quercus robur L.) in Slovenia

Seven ectomycorrhizas are described on oak (Quercus robur) from Krakovski Gozd, SE Slovenia. Six species were identified as Lactarius chrysorrheus, L. serifluus, Xerocomus subtomentosus and X. armeniacus, Laccaria amethystina and Cenococcum geophilum. The 2 Lactarius spp. and, to a lesser degree, X. armeniacus showed considerable host specificity with oak.
