Characterization of Erwinia amylovora strains from different hosts and geographical areas

Characterization of Erwinia amylovora strains from different hosts and geographical areas

Acta Horticulturae ( 411): 183-185

Strains of Erwinia amylovora from diverse hosts and geographical locations were collected. The metabolic capabilities of all strains for 95 carbon sources were examined. The carbon source utilization profiles were compared by cluster analysis. At least 2 different groups were recognizable for strains pathogenic on Rubus spp. Representative strains were analysed further by RFLP.
