Resistance to mal de Rio Cuarto (strain MR4 of maize rough dwarf fijivirus) was studied in progeny derived from crosses between 6 landraces and 5 inbred lines in a partial diallel scheme. The progeny and parents were evaluated under natural infection in 4 environments. Additive genes were the major genetic component of resistance, although dominance effects were also detected.
