Chemical composition and nutritive value of fresh and ensiled carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus) by-product

Chemical composition and nutritive value of fresh and ensiled carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus) by-product

Small Ruminant Research 20(2): 109-112

Digestibility trials on mature goats were carried out to study the nutritive value (digestibility and intake) of fresh and ensiled carnation byproduct. The ensiling process slightly decreased the CP level and increased the fibrous fractions. There were no differences in DM digestibility, organic matter digestibility (OMD) or ME content between fresh and ensiled carnation byproduct.
